Systems Engineering Manager

A prominent global law firm is in search of a Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team of seven desktop/infrastructure engineers. The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial skills coupled with exceptional leadership abilities, fostering a collaborative and productive team atmosphere. This role is hands-on and requires three days per week onsite in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for designing, monitoring performance, tuning, scripting, upgrades, and maintenance of the firm's virtual and local PC desktops.
• Supervise desktop administration for maintenance, upgrades, and image maintenance/updates/upgrades.
• Ensure efficient handling of incident tickets, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Document and track hardware and software configuration, migration, testing, and deployment solutions.
• Plan and oversee timely upgrades.
• Support applications, hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other IS teams to optimize systems performance and enhance security measures.

Qualifications:

• Possess 10+ years of experience in virtual desktop, performance engineering, or systems engineering within a law firm or professional services setting.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency and experience with Citrix virtual desktops, VMware, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and heavy workloads efficiently.
• Exhibit proactive leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams and achieving results with a positive, team-player attitude.
• Flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours (9:30 am-5:30 pm EST) as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience deploying cloud services (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Citrix Cloud) is highly desirable.
