Job Title: Product Owner Enterprise Portfolio Management (Manager Level)
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid), open to remote depending on location
Division: Customer Experience / Enterprise Systems

Overview

We re seeking a Product Owner (Manager Level) to lead the transformation of an enterprise-wide project and portfolio management platform. This role will evolve the system from a compliance tool into a high-value platform that empowers users, enhances project execution, and delivers actionable insights to executive leadership.

The Product Owner will be responsible for product strategy, lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting functions supporting both business-level operations and enterprise governance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap based on business needs and governance priorities.
  • Reposition the platform as a service-oriented tool that simplifies project execution (scheduling, cost, risk).
  • Identify and implement feature enhancements, integrations, and reporting improvements.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement through forums, training, and feedback loops.
  • Produce dashboards and executive reports on portfolio performance and risk.
  • Institutionalize product management practices (backlog management, release planning, adoption metrics).

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field required; Master s preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project or portfolio management, or enterprise product ownership.
  • Strong track record managing SaaS platforms or enterprise systems in complex organizations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of enterprise PPM tools (Planview, Clarity, ServiceNow PPM, MS Project Online, etc.).
  • Ability to translate business needs into product features and roadmap priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience driving adoption and satisfaction of enterprise platforms.

Certifications (Preferred/Desirable)

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
  • PMP, PgMP, or PfMP
  • ITIL 4 Foundation or Managing Professional
