You Are:

You are an experienced Low Power Design Engineer with a passion for creating efficient and powerful systems. You have a strong background in SOC architecture, micro-architecture, and logic design, with a particular focus on low power techniques. Your expertise spans various verticals such as high-performance computing (HPC), data centers, and automotive industries. You thrive in dynamic environments where you can interact with customers and collaborate across different teams to leverage Synopsys' ecosystem. With a keen eye for detail, you excel in power analysis, simulation, and optimization, ensuring that all power goals are met. You are a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting. Your innovative mindset drives you to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance power efficiency in designs, making you an invaluable asset to our team.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Collaborating with customers to define Low Power architecture and modeling leveraging Synopsys tools and IP.
  • Delivering micro-architecture, logic design, and test plans for low power.
  • Designing and implementing power management strategies, including dynamic voltage scaling, clock gating, and power gating.
  • Performing power analysis and trade-offs at the architecture, RTL, and gate levels to ensure power goals are met.
  • Working closely with hardware architects, software teams, and system engineers to optimize the entire system for low power consumption.
  • Evaluating new technologies and methodologies to improve power efficiency in designs.
  • Ensuring that low power design techniques are correctly implemented, verified, and tested, including low-power simulations and lab validation.
  • Creating detailed documentation for design processes, power consumption models, and test procedures.
  • Supporting tape out activities for our customers.

What You'll Need:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in low-power design, architecture, and power optimization.
  • Proven track record of working on low-power design in semiconductor industries (preferably in high performance computing, automotive, or consumer electronics).
  • Experience in low-power design techniques such as dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS), power gating, clock gating, and multi-threshold CMOS (MTCMOS) designs.
  • Proficiency in power estimation, analysis, and optimization tools (e.g., Synopsys PrimeTime, PrimeShield, PrimePower, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of RTL design, verification, and synthesis flows.
  • Familiarity with power management ICs (PMICs) and power delivery systems.
  • Understanding of power-aware verification methodologies.
