Job Details

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking an EHR Business Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.
*This position is hybrid; 4 days per week are onsite.
Responsibilities:

  • Supports the EHR program.
  • Possess experience within a Clinical/Health/Bio-Tech environment.
  • Has familiarity with HL7 and its family of standards including Version 2 (V2), Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and Fast Healthcare interoperability Resources (FHIR).
  • Supports the Health IT Unit in the implementation of the EHR solution.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into coordinated specifications for the EHR solution.
  • Defines Health IT requirements for clinical disciplines as they relate to the strategic plan and unit mission.
  • Provides business analysis on clinical processes (not billing or insurance).
  • Contributes to project/program implementation, infrastructure, system architecture, planning, project initiation, business systems analysis, requirements definition, systems design, systems development, system testing, system implementation, on-going maintenance and enhancement, effective problem identification and resolution, production service and support, and systems administration support tasks to ensure computer applications will assist DOC in achieving its day-to-day mission.
  • Implements downtime readiness procedures and internal reporting regarding system response time and service level agreements for connectivity and operational effectiveness of Health IT.
  • Ensures compliance with the project management standards and procedures for development, enhancement, and deployment of applications developed or procured by Health IT/ITU to deliver services that satisfy user requirements and Health IT/ITU.

Required Skills:

  • 4 Years - Requirements elicitation/documentation/analysis/tracking
  • 3 Years - Applied knowledge of SQL reporting/querying
  • 3 Years - Applied knowledge of PowerBI reporting/data visualization
  • 4 Years - Systems/integration/UAT testing - including planning, execution, resolution, reporting
  • 4 Years - Problem resolution/critical thinking
  • 4 Years - Excellent verbal/written communication
  • 4 Years - Process engineering/analysis
  • 4 Years - MS Office/365 experience
  • 3 Years - Large system implementation

Desired Skills:

  • 3 Years - Leading workgroups
  • 3 Years - Defining schedules/milestones/metrics
  • 3 Years - Healthcare system experience (not including billing/claims/insurance processes, they do not bill for health services).
  • 3 Years - Experience w/VITA project standards & requirements
