Job Description Summary
Come be a part of the team where you can help Invent the future of flight, lift people up and bring them home safely. The Systems, Performance, Operability, Controls & Transients (SPOCT) staff engineer will integrate multiple engineering disciplines and sciences across a gas turbine propulsion system to ensuring the safety of our engines, while optimizing for performance, controllability, durability and other key customer factors. This engineering leader will drive the functional integration and collaboration between SPOCT engineering teams to deliver solutions based on program and customer requirements. This role will have a significant impact on both short-term and long-term business and technology development goals.
A day in the life of a SPOCT engineer can include activities such as conducting trade studies, driving customer and regulatory discussions, facilitating problem solving for in-service fleet issues, to driving execution of design changes to improve engine capability, durability or performance. The process spans from concept through production to operation.
This role ensures the engine designs ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness objectives. High levels of operational judgment are essential to achieve the desired outcomes. This is an ideal role for someone looking to accelerate your career by providing management visibility to high impact projects while you work alongside a vibrant and collaborative engineering team, to help create the future of flight.
