Job Details

A Chester County-based scientific organization is looking for a Level II Desktop Support Engineer to work on a variety of servers and support tasks. You will collaborate closely with seasoned experts as a Junior Systems Engineer to support and manage this client's IT infrastructure.

This position is a rare chance to learn about a variety of technologies and hone critical abilities in project management, systems administration, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Assist in managing backups, disaster recovery plans, and system security measures.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in systems administration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration roles is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
