Job Description:
Client is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst III to support our AWS Cloud Migration and Healthcare Security Operations initiatives.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring secure cloud transformation, compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, NIST 800 series), and the operational integrity of Client's digital systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems analysis, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience in managing risk, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits in healthcare IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute cloud and on-prem security policies, controls, and governance standards.
Perform in-depth analysis of AWS Cloud Security and on-prem environments, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with DevSecOps and cloud engineering teams to ensure security alignment across all phases of software development and infrastructure deployment.
Apply security frameworks including NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, and MARS-E controls to cloud transformation projects.
Conduct system vulnerability assessments, develop remediation plans, and oversee security testing and documentation.
Support audits and ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational policies for data protection and PHI management.
Review violations of IT security procedures and coordinate with internal teams to recommend corrective actions.
Oversee cloud migration lifecycle activities-design reviews, configuration checks, access control verification, and post-migration monitoring.
Manage multiple concurrent projects, providing leadership, communication, and delivery oversight to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.
Serve as a liaison between internal IT operations, application teams, and compliance units during security incidents or audits.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in systems analysis, information security, and infrastructure management.
Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture, IAM, and security configurations.
Proven experience implementing and managing NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, MARS-E, and related compliance frameworks.
Experience with DevSecOps practices, cloud auditing, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
In-depth experience with network and data security, incident response, and forensic analysis.
Hands-on experience using Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar ITIL-based ticketing systems.
Proven ability to identify complex problems, analyze alternatives, and recommend technical solutions.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience in developing and implementing IT security policies and standards.
4+ years experience with AWS Cloud Security, cloud compliance tools, and migration governance.
Proficiency with Windows and Linux systems administration and security configuration.
Experience with information security risk assessments and security documentation development.
Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, etc.).
ITIL certification or experience in enterprise service management environments.
Prior experience delivering technical training in security awareness or cloud technologies.
