    Russell Tobin's client a retail company is hiring an Instructional Designer in Columbus, OH.

    Job Title: Instructional Designer / Training Content Developer

    Location: Columbus, OH Hybrid (on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

    Hours: 40 hours per week

    Contract: Full-time contract (possibility of extension to cover upcoming leave)

    Pay Rate: $22 to $24.28/hour

    About the Role

    We re seeking a talented and creative Instructional Designer / Training Content Developer to join a collaborative Learning & Development team. This individual contributor role is responsible for writing, concepting, developing, and delivering engaging training content including eLearning modules, video scripts, and print materials that build and sustain product knowledge among field associates.

    You ll work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure materials are accurate, aligned with business goals, and effectively support employee learning and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design, write, and develop instructional materials such as eLearnings, videos, and print guides. Partner with SMEs and internal stakeholders to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences. Revise and update existing materials to reflect new initiatives or business changes. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines. Communicate ideas and information clearly, concisely, and effectively across teams.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience (1-3 years in instructional design, training development, or related writing role). Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline). Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and copy editing. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Self-starter with a learning mindset and openness to feedback.
