Helpdesk - Help Desk Support Technician - SME Level
Primary Location: Jackson, Mississippi

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Helpdesk - Help Desk Support Technician - SME Level for our premier client in Jackson, Mississippi.

Education and Experience »
  • Must also have experience providing remote assistance using various platforms and must be experienced with providing support for M365 Applications.
  • Experience in Desktop\Laptop troubleshooting, software installation, peripheral hardware implementation and active directory administration.
  • Experience working in a help desk environment: 3 years.
  • Experienced with providing support for M365 Applications: 3 years.
  • Experience providing remote assistance using various platforms: 3 years.
  • Experience in desktop\laptop troubleshooting, and software installation: 3 years.
  • Hardware Implementation and Deployment: 3 years.
  • Basic Active Directory Management: 3 years.

Preference:
  • Microsoft O365 experience.
  • BMC Footprints Help Desk Experience.
  • MAC OS Experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
  • Must be good at organizing, prioritizing, and planning.
  • Must be able to update and maintain Help Desk records in accordance with established support procedures.
  • Must also have excellent communication skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Will be the initial point of contact with end users requesting IT Support.
  • This goal has an outcome to increase the availability of quality data to drive decisions that improve student outcomes.
  • Planning to satisfy this goal in part by modernizing current student information system along with improving the quality of data in connected systems.
  • This will include web-based application development, and creation of dashboards and reports that will improve access, accuracy, and ease of use for all stakeholders.
