Are you passionate about transforming ideas into detailed designs? Join us as a CAD Technician I and play a key role in shaping the infrastructure that powers our communities. At ENTRUST Solutions Group, we're known for our commitment to innovation, quality, and collaboration in the utility and energy sectors. In this role, you'll bring engineering concepts to life through precise CAD drawings that support gas pipeline projects across the country.
This full-time, in-office role offers hands-on training and collaboration during the first few months. Once you're up to speed and familiar with our workflows, you'll transition into a hybrid schedule, balancing remote flexibility with occasional in-office work.
Please note: Candidates selected for this role will be required to complete an AutoCAD skills assessment.
What You'll Do:
As a CAD Technician I, you'll play a key role in bringing engineering concepts to life, working closely with engineers and field teams to transform ideas into precise technical drawings. Your day typically involves taking rough sketches or verbal instructions from engineers and converting them into detailed CAD drawings using tools like AutoCAD. These drawings include construction plans, topographical profiles, and maps for gas pipeline projects.
You'll also be responsible for drafting structural details, plotting profiles and cross-sections using topographical data, and supporting field survey crews by gathering measurements and data needed for drawing updates. Your work helps calculate layouts, rights-of-way, and street dimensions, and you'll design concrete and steel supports for both above-ground and underground pipeline systems.
Throughout the project lifecycle, you'll create both preliminary and final sketches, and once construction is complete, you'll generate as-built drawings to reflect the final state of the project. You'll also revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or design coordinators and use survey data to produce contour and erosion control drawings. It's a hands-on, detail-oriented role that blends technical skill with collaboration and problem-solving.
What We Offer:
At ENTRUST Solutions Group, we're more than just engineers-we're innovators, collaborators, and problem-solvers. With over 3,000 professionals and a spot on the ENR Top 100 list, we're proud to support industries that keep the world running. We believe in empowering our people, embracing new technologies, and fostering a culture where everyone feels valued. If you're ready to take your drafting skills to the next level and be part of a team that's building the future-let's talk!
