Description APPLE INC has the following available in New York, New York. Understand current data model and infrastructure, proactively identify gaps, areas for improvement, and prescribe architectural recommendations with a focus on performance and accessibility. Define and design logical and dimensional data models. Work with the engineering and analytics teams to design and develop the data warehouse pipelines to build the ads analytical data warehouse on the cloud data warehouse. Partner with business and analytics teams to understand specific requirements for data systems to support both development and deployment of data workloads ranging from Tableau reports to ad hoc analyses. Own and develop architecture supporting the translation of analytical questions into effective reports that drive business action. Automate and optimize existing data processing workloads by recognizing patterns of data and technology usage and implementing solutions. Strong understanding of the intersection between analytics and engineering while maintaining a proactive approach to assure solutions demonstrate high levels of performance, privacy, security, scalability, and reliability upon deployment. Advise partners on effective use of the the data warehouse platform through knowledge sharing, documentation, and associated best practices. Work in a rapidly changing environment and perform effectively in a sprint based agile development environment. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Use data warehousing concepts and tools to organize and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data, facilitating strategic decision-making and data-driven insights within the organization.
  • Use database to design and maintain robust databases, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Use ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) to integrate data, enabling seamless extraction, transformation, and loading of diverse data sets into the data warehouse, supporting real-time analytics and reporting.
  • Use SQL to query and manipulate data within databases, ensuring accurate and efficient data retrieval for various analytical purposes.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Design and implement distributed systems for optimizing data processing and storage across multiple nodes, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance in data infrastructure
  • Use Amazon Web Services to leverage cloud-based solutions for data storage, processing, and analysis, enabling efficient and scalable infrastructure to meet business demands
  • Use Python to develop scalable and maintainable data engineering solutions, enabling efficient data manipulation, transformation, and integration across various platforms.
  • Use Spark for large-scale data processing, providing the ability to handle complex data transformations and analytics tasks, enhancing the performance and speed of data workflows.
  • Use MPP database like Redshift to optimize data storage and retrieval within the AWS ecosystem, supporting high-performance analytics and reporting capabilities for the organization.
