LOCATION:
- Charlotte, NC - In office
- Travel to locations across the South East required - 25%
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Oversee the daily security technology operations across the portfolio.
- Manage office operations, including service queue management and task prioritization based on site needs.
- Communicate with site contacts to collect information for service requests.
- Design security systems, including access control and video surveillance, in collaboration with project development and construction teams.
- Understand and manage the integration capabilities of different access control systems when multiple systems are in use at a single location.
- Maintain inventory of service parts and coordinate with vendors for quotes and walkthroughs.
- Supervise in-house technicians, assign service calls, and manage their schedules.
- Overseeing systems upgrades on the properties. Quoting, approval, project management of the job.
- Arrange for external security vendors to handle service calls when in-house technicians are unavailable.
- Oversee new vendor setup and manage billing processes for the department.
- Develop and implement a training program to efficiently onboard new hires, ensuring they are proficient with various security dashboards.
- Create and maintain an equipment lifecycle plan, including performing audits, replacing batteries, and preparing for end-of-life.
- Manage licenses for security systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Physical Security and Access Control.
- Strong Project Management skills and experience.
- Experience working in the construction, real estate, and/or property management space is highly preferred.
- Experience creating system designs and conducting blueprint reviews for access control, camera systems, door/key fob systems, etc.
- Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience providing a high degree of customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
- Proficiency in using, maintaining, administering, and installing security systems and associated software.
- Experience in vendor management and negotiation.
- Knowledge of security regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of mechanical door hardware.
- Experienced in low voltage wiring is required.
- Experience managing tickets and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to travel on-site and conduct site audits of security and access control systems.
