Power BI Report Server Administrator

Job Title: Power BI Report Server Administrator Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 6+ months

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary contact for vulnerability findings and coordinate with IT to remediate in a timely manner.
• Review BI security reports, monitor server performance, and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Manage Power BI Report Server lifecycle: upgrades, patches, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Plan and execute complex server migrations (Windows Server, SQL Server, Power BI Report Server).
• Administer permissions, security roles, and user access within Power BI Report Server.
• Resolve issues (e.g., data refresh failures, report access problems) and work with security teams on mitigations.
• Maintain knowledge of low-code development, web services, and enterprise BI practices.

Required:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI Report Server.
• Advanced SQL Server skills (SSRS/SSAS/SSIS), performance tuning, and database management.
• Experience with server migrations, upgrades, and enterprise BI deployments.
• Strong collaboration with IT and security teams; proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
• Experience with web services and low-code app development.
