Job Title: Physical Security Building Management Systems Engineer

Duration: 12 Months (Possible extension or conversion)

Location: Jacksonville, FL 32258 and San Antonio, TX 78245 (Onsite 3 days per week)

Job Description

Overview:
Seeking a Physical Security Engineer to lead security certification, assessment, and deployment of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) across enterprise facilities, including data centers and corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as technical product owner and subject matter expert for BMS platforms, with a focus on Siemens and Schneider Electric systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage product lifecycle, ensure security compliance, and define product roadmaps.
  • Conduct lab testing, IS risk assessments, and technology evaluations per internal security policies and standards.
  • Develop in-house solutions where commercial options are unavailable.
  • Provide Level 3 engineering support and produce documentation, standards, and best practices for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years in an engineering or security role.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux/UNIX, .NET, SQL, PKI, and Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of IT and information security; security certifications like CISSP preferred.
  • Familiarity with SDLC/ETLC and enterprise risk assessment processes.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with Siemens and Schneider Electric (PowerSCADA, EcoStruxure) BMS platforms.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, organizational skills, and global team collaboration experience.
