AIML Architect and AIML Senior Architect

Position: AI/ML Architect | AI/ML Senior Architect
Location: Hartford, CT, USA (Local candidates preferred)

Job Description:

UHG is seeking highly skilled AI/ML Architects to design, implement, and optimize production-grade machine learning solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced AI architectures, with a focus on Conversational AI. The role requires strong technical expertise, experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and the ability to collaborate directly with product experts to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and deploy scalable, production-grade machine learning models, including LLMs, with a strong focus on model evaluation and MLOps practices.

• Develop AI/ML solutions using Google Vertex AI and Python, particularly in the context of Conversational AI.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable AI solutions.

• Work with Google CCAI/CES platform components for building conversational AI systems.

• Implement agentic architecture-based solutions and advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.

• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure model accuracy, reliability, and performance using evaluation frameworks and metrics.

• Optimize and fine-tune models for efficiency and accuracy, including experience with Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT).

• Stay updated on the latest developments in AI and machine learning technologies.

• Engage with technology experts from product companies (e.g., Google) to drive solutions that meet customer expectations.

• Demonstrate maturity and professionalism in a customer-facing environment, understanding project and organizational boundaries.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in production-grade ML model design and implementation, including LLMs.

• Hands-on experience with Python, Google Vertex AI, and Google Cloud Platform-based AI/ML services.

• Experience with MLOps, model evaluation, and performance optimization.

• Knowledge of agentic architecture, RAG, and advanced AI frameworks.

• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks and metrics for AI/ML models.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and client engagement
