SAP ABAP Consultant

Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP IT Consultant with a specialization in ABAP to join their IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analyzing and supporting ODATA, AMDP, and CDS views to help drive our SAP projects and initiatives.

The SAP IT Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAP applications and systems using ABAP. The role requires a deep understanding of SAP ODATA services, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), and Core Data Services (CDS) views.
Must Haves:

• Minimum of 10] years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP ODATA services.
• Proficiency in developing and supporting ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
• Extensive experience in creating and managing Core Data Services (CDS) views.
• Solid understanding of SAP modules and business processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• SAP certification in ABAP or related modules is a plus.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of Fiori and SAPUI5 development.
• Understanding of SAP HANA database and its capabilities.
• Experience with SAP Business Workflow.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Day to Day:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces.
• Analyze and support SAP ODATA services for various applications.
• Develop and optimize ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) to enhance database performance.
• Create and manage Core Data Services (CDS) views to provide advanced data modeling capabilities.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ABAP programs and SAP systems.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards.
