Job Title: Python Ansible Developer
Location: Middletown, NJ (Onsite/Hybrid) only local
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Python Ansible Developer to join our engineering team in Middletown, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining infrastructure deployment and configuration processes using Python and Ansible. This role involves close collaboration with DevOps, Cloud, and Network Engineering teams to enhance automation efficiency, scalability, and reliability across environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for configuration management and deployment.
- Develop Python-based tools and integrations to automate repetitive tasks and improve infrastructure efficiency.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to manage large-scale systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Operations teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot automation workflows, deployment issues, and system performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including playbooks, workflows, and system configurations.
- Ensure all automation solutions follow security and compliance standards.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for automation frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible (playbook creation, roles, inventory management, templates, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and integration.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and Jenkins.
- Understanding of network automation, YAML, and REST APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of IT automation frameworks and DevOps methodologies.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
