Maximus is looking for a Software Asset Manager to support a DoD program based out of Arlington, Virginia!

This position supports the strategic and day-to-day operations of a high-visibility client and will require direct interaction with a mix of senior federal and contractor support staff. The candidate will routinely exercise independent judgment and discretion and must be able provide sound recommendations and courses of action to government personnel to meet mission requirements and time-sensitive timelines consistent with federal, departmental, and directorate guidelines.

The candidate will have direct responsibility for all software asset management operations, which entails daily management and control of an Enterprise software portfolio, to include but not limited to:
Managing day to day software operations and inquiries and maintaining accurate inventory of software licenses.
Ability to understand software license usage rights, conducting internal software license compliance reviews, and creating metrics-based reports for management review.
Build collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to mitigate inherent risk associated with software asset ownership; conducts complex analysis where results are used to inform executive decisions.
Contributes to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide software asset management policies and procedures which minimizes compliance risk, enhances the program, and creates process efficiencies
Responds to requests from Software Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT (Information Technology) Software Asset Management
Manages proof of entitlement documentation and asset authorizations
Maintain an inventory of all software licenses and subscriptions across the organization
Act as the escalation point of contact for all customer-reported incidents and requests

Required Skills:
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Information Technology or Information Systems Management. Eight (8) years of relevant experience in lieu of an accredited degree.
8+ years of experience, preferably in help desk or tech support.
5+ years of demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, to include SharePoint and MS Teams.

Desired Skills:
Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities with great attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
5+ years of recent and relevant experience supporting the federal marketspace.
IT asset and technical support skills or related experience.
Problem solving skills and solution implementation.
Experience supporting a large team of individuals with varying levels of roles and responsibilities.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
