we are a Tier 1 vendor for the City and County of San Francisco for Cloud Services, Staffing Services and Training Services. Roles/Responsibilities:
- This role ensures the reliability, performance, and enhancement of DESE's suite of applications, including ePeGs, ASBR, CORE Data, FNS, MCDS, Educator Certification, and others.
- The position involves working closely with agency subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements, perform system and unit testing, support quality assurance testing (QAT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), and document requirements, test plans, and results.
- This role requires adaptability to evolving education laws and technical requirements, ensuring DESE applications provide efficient, compliant, and reliable service to educators, administrators, and stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills:
- Apart from the qualifications below, the successful candidate Must Have:
- 5+ years' experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven IT environment at a State government agency or equivalent organizational level.
- 5+ years of experience with: Business Analysis skills
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements
- Communicating effectively with business partners and stakeholders
- Working with end users to understand and translate needs ("touch customers")
- Translating non-technical requests into technical specifications and vice versa
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identifying and defining project scope and system functionalitie
- 3+ years of experience with: Business Analysis skills
- Writing user stories and assisting end users in the process
- Creating documentation for testing and application specifications
- Working with Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirement and task management
- Additional experience: Business Analysis skills
- Supporting financial applications involving complex mathematical calculations
- Documenting workflows using Microsoft Visit
- 5+ years' etxperience with: Quality Assurance Testing (QAT):
- Developing and executing test cases and test plans in Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Conducting regression, white box, and black box testing
- Performing 508/ADA compliance testing using Wave tool
- Responsive design testing across multiple platforms
- Creating and using traceability matrices
- Writing test scripts and maintaining testing documentation
- Ability to teach team members testing procedures across the full lifecycle
- Ensuring compliance with legal and organizational data and application standards
- Understanding project lifecycles, SDLC principles, and applying Waterfall and Agile methodologies appropriately
- Documenting testing processes and producing high-quality testing artifacts
- Knowledge of acceptance testing methodologies
- 3+ years' experience in: Quality Assurance Testing (QAT)
- Security, usability, and functional testing methods
- Basic SQL for cross-testing and data validation
Desirable Skills:
- 2+ years' experience and knowledge and experience with
- Automation testing using Selenium or Katalon, back-end development, and Veracode is preferred.
- Performing basic SQL queries for data analysis (preferred)
