Grow your career with an innovative global bank in Rutherford, NJ, as a Lead Data Engineer with strong Python & PySpark skills. Contract role with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 15+ years of data analytics experience in core development using Python and database technologies.
- Must have strong hands-on Python coding skill in Big Data environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, SQL, PL/SQL, and Kafka.
- 8+ years of people management experience.
- Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of technological and data analytics.
- Experience building and deploying data analytics solutions in production environments.
- Strong coordination and project management skills; must be able to define business requirements and create robust technical and process documentation to support activities.
- Proficient in proactive risk mitigation, manage project pipeline to ensure prioritization and required resourcing mix.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicates seamlessly across team members / stakeholders / cross-functional teams.
- Will use hands-on coding experience in Python & PySpark in big data environments to enrich data analytics environment.
- Will act as a Team Lead for a team of developers.
- Demonstrable analytics problem solving and ability to deliver projects in a challenging environment.
- Consistently set high performance standards with right mentorship & coaching interventions for team.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in partner meetings while leading from the front to drive innovative solutions with excellent stakeholder management.
- Identify right skillset requirement for business needs, effective utilization of analytics resources.
- Influence business outcomes / decisions in collaboration with leadership & business stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems.
- Be an influencer who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders. Intellectually curious, consistently seeking and developing new opportunities.
