Senior Engagement & Operations Manager
Job Description
The Senior User Experience (UX) Engagement & Operations Manager will be part of the ATS User Experience
team, working alongside UX strategists, researchers and designers, orchestrating and optimizing how business
partners, product managers, design team members, and engineering teams create products that improve
usability and business value for Adobe employees and partners.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior User Experience (UX) Engagement & Operations Manager will participate in design and delivery
leadership meetings to align on business priorities and help the UX team innovate where it adds the most value.
- Manage a pipeline of UX engagements from intake through delivery and plan appropriate resourcing
- Organize and ensure appropriate communication of UX status, issues, forecasts, and metrics to
leadership, business, and program and product management
- Advocate for design thinking in planning, scheduling, requirements gathering, design reviews, delivery
and implementation to launch
- Participate in and facilitate design reviews and post-mortems for key initiatives
- Drive ongoing enhancements to program management to accommodate design thinking in project and
portfolio-level planning
- Evolve and lead the operational strategy of the UX team by identifying team needs and enhancing the
productivity of researchers and designers
- Standardize and mature how we prioritize, schedule and resource projects and facilitate review with
business and UX Leadership
- Lead a cross-disciplinary team of design professionals (with backgrounds in service design, UX,
organizational design, behavioral design, design research, etc.) with a focus on thoughtful professional
development and capacity building
- Increase the operational efficiency and scale of the UX team s work
- Assist with implementing the strategic and tactical prioritization of design initiatives and workflows,
specifically the implementation of process improvements
- Act as a link between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams, connecting all three
groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for
- Facilitate the creation of complex design solutions by participating in defining the business and design
requirements and assigning resources
- Participate in the development or improvement of design processes, procedures, standards and
guidelines
- Shape, implement and document processes to streamline projects and elevate the quality of design
work
- Assist in design staffing and allocation on product initiatives, and partner with design leadership to plan,
prioritize, and present work to the company
Skills and Competencies
- 7+ years of experience as a Project and/or Program Manager in a design consultancy or as part of an inhouse multidisciplinary UX team (e.g., Strategists, Researchers, and Designers)
- Experience in triaging new work, maintaining work momentum and launching digital solutions on deadlines in a large corporate environment.
- Advanced understanding of user experience design principles
- Advanced facilitation, negotiation and consensus building skills
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
