Job Title: Oracle & PostgreSQL DBA (Migration Specialist)
Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle On-Premises DBA with strong expertise in Azure PostgreSQL and hands-on experience in Oracle-to-PostgreSQL database migration. The ideal candidate will support enterprise-scale database modernization, performance optimization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
·      Manage and administer Oracle on-premise databases (11g/12c/19c).
·      Administer and optimize Azure Database for PostgreSQL instances.
·      Lead end-to-end Oracle → PostgreSQL migration including schema conversion, data migration, and validation.
·      Use migration tools such as Ora2Pg, Azure DMS, and custom scripts.
·      Perform SQL tuning, query optimization, indexing, and performance troubleshooting.
·      Convert PL/SQL code to PL/pgSQL objects.
·      Implement database security, roles, privileges, and access control.
·      Perform database backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability setup.
·      Collaborate with application teams to resolve database-related issues.
·      Monitor database health, performance, and capacity planning.
·      Support production and non-production environments with on-call rotation as required.
Required Skills & Experience
·      7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA (on-premises).
·      Strong experience with Azure PostgreSQL or PostgreSQL DBA roles.
·      Proven hands-on experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations.
·      Strong SQL skills: query tuning, execution plans, indexing strategies.
·      Experience with PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL.
·      Strong understanding of backups (RMAN, PITR), replication, and disaster recovery.
·      Solid knowledge of Linux OS environments.
·      Familiarity with cloud services, monitoring, and best practices.
