Description:

The client is searching for a Serviceability Engineer for PET/CT products. This group works concurrent to and integrated with the clinical product development processes. This team focuses on driving efficiency gains and excess cost reductions within projects and sustaining activities, driving serviceability topics, technical documentation, service replacement parts and support requirements for the initial delivery of a new product as well as sustaining the technical documents of the installed base of products.

Responsibilities :
Draw on engineering documents, CAD models, and interactions with engineers to create and revise written and animated service procedures (installation, repair, maintenance, etc.) for hardware and software.
Work with subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of products and services and translate complex information into polished content.
Develop content in alternative media forms, with consistent voice across all documentation
Test and validate service procedures involving Software, Hardware and Remote Service on physical systems.
Performing updates to our servicing procedures to achieve optimal service performance in areas of Software Installation, Upgrades, and Removal & Replacements.
Evaluate and prioritize changes and corrections submitted by field technicians.
Collaborate with Design & Development Teams, Marketing, Sales, Field Service.
Participate in and/or lead productivity initiatives.

Qualifications for success in this role:
Three to five years of experience in technical writing or similar field. Experience with structured writing tools a plus (e.g. Cosima or ArborText).
Must have hands-on experience with complex mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with medical imaging systems (PET, CT, SPECT, MR) a plus.
Must have excellent communication skills, particularly in writing.
Experience with CAD and BOM structures. Teamcenter and SAP a plus.
Knowledge of PTC Vuforia Studio (or similar) a plus.
Experience animating 3D models. Experience with video editing and keyframing a plus. Experience with Creo Illustrate a plus.
Bachelor s degree in a communications or technical field (computer science, engineering) or equivalent experience.

Must-have skills:
1. Ability to take actions and communicate them effectively.
2. Familiarity with tools like Allen Keyes, screwdrivers, torque wrenches.
3. Knowledge of machinery safety.
4. Comfort with electromechanical equipment.
5. Basic CAD knowledge.

Nice-to-have skills:
1. Experience in BioMed manufacturing with PTC software.
2. Knowledge of diagnostic imaging.
3. Experience with client scanners.
4. Familiarity with PTC Software Euphoria Studio.

Success measurement: On-time deliverables of milestones and projects.
Team: Working with Projects and supporting Engineer, Software, and Product Management.
