Role: Release Manager
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months
Must have:
- Release management
- GIT Lab/GIT codes
- Kafka
- CI/CD pipeline
- Co-ordinate between network, development & other teams to work with change management teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate software deployment planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Manage release components, team alignment, and dependency tracking.
- Support developers and testers with environment setup and release readiness.
- Identify and mitigate risks affecting release scope, timeline, and quality.
- Communicate project plans, changes, schedules, and release details to all stakeholders.
- Maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment across teams, partners, and vendors.
- Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Go/No-Go assessments.
- Lead Go-Live activities, including deployment plan execution and validation.
- Continuously improve release processes and DevOps practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Enforce policies, procedures, and process adherence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in release management or project management.
- Solid knowledge of release, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in systems analysis, cloud environments, and cloud release processes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python) and automation tools.
- Basic coding knowledge; scripting and light coding expected.
- Exposure to unstructured databases (Kafka).
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing distributed Agile teams.
- Exposure to Salesforce (preferred).
