Job Details

Amentum is seeking an RF Engineer to perform and support MIL-STD-461/464 testing and evaluation of C5ISR systems and subsystems.

Radio Frequency Engineer Responsibilities include:
  • Developing detailed EMI/EMC test plans.
  • Participating in EMI/EMC test planning meetings and test readiness reviews.
  • Performing EMI/EMC testing
  • Gathering, reducing, and analyzing result data
  • Preparing and publishing detailed EMI/EMC test reports
  • Reviewing technical documentation and technical meeting support.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an Electrical Engineering with an RF focus or Physics with an emphasis in electromagnetic interference (EMI), electric field propagation, and/or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Four plus (4+) years of demonstrated experience within the EMC, EMV, EMI, or HERO engineering domains.
  • Two (2) year of experience in each of the following areas: Preparing E3 technical documents; knowledge in antenna system verification testing; application of military standards, handbooks, and specifications (MIL-STD 461/464).
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: ship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Desired specialized experience using standard E3 test facilities, such as an anechoic chamber, reverberation chamber, and/or open air test site to conduct E3 tests; performing analyses and evaluations to predict and define E3 problems; and defining/designing corrective measures.
