Must Haves:
- 5+ years of application DBA experience in mainframe DB2 with strength in query tuning
- Needs someone with strong knowledge/experience - won t just be doing day to day tasks; will be providing recommendations to other DBAs
- DB2 DBA Mainframe experience on z/Os - with a focus on performance and DB2 internals
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting knows what to look for, where to go not timidIdentifying Performance reports
- In depth working knowledge of DB2 Utilities including BMC
- SMF Accounting data experience
- Qrep and CDC replication skills
- Large Financial Enterprise experience
Day to Day:
- Collabera is looking for a mainframe DB2 DBA to support a large financial enterprise.
- We are looking for someone with strong database admin experience to provide Mainframe DB2 Database Administrative support for Mainframe applications in a high volume OS Data Sharing environment.
- Responsibilities include full life cycle management of DB2 mainframe databases from analysis through decommission.
- Additionally the Individual will be involved in DB2 related z/Os Database software upgrades, including DB2 Database, DB2 Connect, BMC and Shadow products. Could be design issues but production issues are the main focus.
