Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Contractor to oversee daily operations of the CTC and its engineering labs. This multifaceted role combines technical support, lab infrastructure maintenance, logistics coordination, and high-touch hospitality, ensuring a first-class experience for both engineering teams and visiting clients.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Monitor lab circuits and escalate outages via service provider tickets
- Install, cable, and configure internal and customer lab equipment
- Provide daily support to CTC engineers for deployments and POC environments
- Maintain accurate inventory using tools like Netbox or Velocity
Facilities & Visitor Engagement
- Ensure labs, meeting rooms, and offices are clean, operational, and ready for client visits
- Serve as the main point of contact for Executive Briefings and customer interactions
- Deliver hospitality services including guest greetings, tour facilitation, meal coordination, and post-visit upkeep
- Manage facility work orders and maintain cleanliness in shared spaces (e.g., kitchen, common areas)
Logistics & Coordination
- Handle all FedEx shipments (incoming/outgoing) for the CTC
- Act as liaison for third-party vendors during expansions, cabling, and infrastructure updates
Qualifications
- Experience in technical support, lab coordination, or IT operations
- Proficient in cabling and hardware installation for network/server equipment
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and service ticketing systems
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a client-focused mindset
- Self-starter with proactive problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with inventory systems such as Netbox is a plus
- Must be able to lift and transport IT hardware (30-40 lbs)
