Role: FACTORYworks MES Consultant

Duration: 3 6 Months Contract

Location: Remote (PST Time Zone)

Overview: We are seeking an experienced FACTORYworks MES Consultant. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in implementing, configuring, and optimizing Applied Materials FACTORYworks MES platform within high-volume manufacturing environments. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration, optimized workflows, and real-time operational visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain FACTORYworks MES to support manufacturing operations.
  • Integrate MES with ERP, production equipment, and shop floor control systems.
  • Define and implement custom workflows, business rules, and reporting dashboards.
  • Collaborate with production engineers to optimize scheduling, WIP tracking, and material management.
  • Troubleshoot MES-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
  • Support FACTORYworks+ accelerated deployments as required.
  • Provide end-user and technical team training, along with system documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, security, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in MES implementation, preferably with FACTORYworks (Applied Materials).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, process control, and production workflows.
  • Proven experience integrating MES with ERP and equipment control systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database query development for MES data analysis.
  • Background in semi-conductor, electronics, or other high-volume manufacturing industries.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with FACTORYworks+ rapid deployment methodology.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing automation standards (SECS/GEM, OPC, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting or customization tools within FACTORYworks.
  • Prior experience in multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
