Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking a Sr Specialist Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Able to communicate effectively and work closely with assigned teams.
- Design, implement, and integrate software in a Linux Environment.
- Perform software coding and debugging, perform software unit tests, and integrate software components.
- Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.
Qualifications:
- Active US Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with object-oriented development experience in LINUX using C++ or JAVA.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOps.
- Demonstrated software component development, implementation, and integration in Linux.
- Demonstrated experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks.
- Experience in working with virtualization, containerization, and hybrid computing environments.
- Experience with Aerospace/DoD programs
- Experience with ISR Systems.
- Experience in SQL/NoSQL database design and queries.
- Software and hardware troubleshooting background.
- Experience with software automated test tools and frameworks.
- Multi-threaded, parallel, and/or GPU programming experience.
- Google Protocol Buffers and network socket programming
