JOB DESCRIPTION

THIS ROLE IS 100% REMOTE

SCHEDULE: 8-5/9-6 local time- with flex depending on business needs



Most Important Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with Atlassian REST APIs and Webhooks for integration purposes.
  • Proven track record of successfully integrating Atlassian products with other enterprise systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Workday).
  • System Integration: Lead the integration of Atlassian platforms with critical enterprise systems, including but not limited to Coupa, ERP systems, CRM, HRIS, authentication services (SSO/SAML), and other third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and/or Groovy for Atlassian plugin/script development (e.g., ScriptRunner, custom plugins).
  • Architecture & Design Input: Contribute to the architectural design and strategic roadmap for the Atlassian ecosystem, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.




Responsibilities:
  • Custom Development & Scripting: Design, develop, and implement custom solutions, scripts, and plugins within the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management) using Java, Groovy, JavaScript, and Atlassian APIs (REST, Java API, Forge).
  • System Integration: Lead the integration of Atlassian platforms with critical enterprise systems, including but not limited to Coupa, ERP systems, CRM, HRIS, authentication services (SSO/SAML), and other third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • API Development & Management: Develop and maintain custom APIs and webhooks to facilitate complex integrations and extend Atlassian functionality.
  • Platform Customization & Configuration: Perform advanced configuration and customization of Jira workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and Confluence spaces to align with evolving business requirements.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and administrators. Lead complex development initiatives from conception to deployment.
  • Architecture & Design Input: Contribute to the architectural design and strategic roadmap for the Atlassian ecosystem, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures. Implement best practices for platform health and stability.
  • Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and implement automated testing strategies for developed solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions, integrations, and configurations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and various business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical designs and deliver effective solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software developer with a strong focus on the Atlassian platform.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and/or Groovy for Atlassian plugin/script development (e.g., ScriptRunner, custom plugins).
  • Demonstrated experience with Atlassian REST APIs and Webhooks for integration purposes.
  • Proven track record of successfully integrating Atlassian products with other enterprise systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Workday).
  • Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and advanced configurations.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, agile team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Atlassian Forge development.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development practices and AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure environments.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (React, Angular, Vue.js) for custom UI development within Atlassian.
  • Atlassian Certifications (e.g., ACP-600 Jira Administrator, ACP-100 Jira Administrator for Cloud).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
