Summary
The Senior Transportation Engineer will lead and supervise roadway design and plan development for a variety of transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead roadway design efforts for transportation infrastructure projects
- Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff
- Oversee project design, plan production, and quantity calculations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project quality and timeliness
- Support project management tasks and contribute to business development efforts
Qualifications
- 8+ years of roadway design experience, with an emphasis on corridor modeling
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with NCDOT plan production and quantity calculations
- Proficiency in MicroStation / GEOPAK (corridor modeling required)
- Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) preferred
- Broad experience in MOT, Drainage, PMP, and Signing is a plus
