Location: 2 Broadway, New York, NY 10004

Position Title: Technology & Engineer Fellow, Disaster Recovery

Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Undergraduate)

OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:

Disaster Recovery (DR) - The technical aspect of business continuity. The collection of resources and activities to re-establish information technology services (including components such as infrastructure, telecommunications, systems, applications, and data) at an alternate site (when a primary site is not available) following a disruption of IT services. Disaster recovery includes subsequent resumption and restoration of those operations at a more permanent site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for Applications
  • Recovery Plans for Applications, Infrastructure and Security Systems
  • Recovery plans for Data Centers
  • Disaster Recovery Plan Testing
  • Disaster Recovery Plan Maintenance
  • Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
  • Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
  • Other task assigned by the Disaster Recovery team

PROJECTS:

  • Disaster recovery plan documentation
  • Disaster recovery plan testing and documentation
  • Business Impact Analysis for Application documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
  • Major(s) Preferred: Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
