Job Details

Description

Set technical objectives and tasks for airflow and thermal management simulations. Perform, develop and integrate full vehicle cross functional co-simulation packages integrating Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) (passenger vehicle and light commercial electric vehicle) models for physics models including front end air flow (FEAF) models, battery models, driveline models, energy models, HVAC/cabin models, and Electric Drive Unit (DU) models into single model, using MATLAB, Simulink, GT-Power and STAR CCM+ tools, and control models applying Model in the Loop (MIL) package for HVAC Module, Body Control Module (BCM), and Vehicle Integration Control Module (VICM). Perform one dimensional (1D) component, system and vehicle level virtual simulation for powertrain cooling, battery pack cooling, electric motor, and high voltage power electronics component thermal protection. Perform 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of HVAC cooling, cabin performance, and front end air flow for component airflow and thermal performance. Work on Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) programs with a focus on process efficiency and innovation. Develop and perform 1D and thermal control simulations for new programs based on vehicle content and functional objectives.

Additional Description

Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related. Four months' experience as Engineer or related. Must also have experience with: performing and developing full vehicle simulations of passenger vehicle driveline models, energy models, and Electric Drive Unit (DU) models, using MATLAB, Simulink, and STAR CCM+ tools.
