At 4A, we don’t just deliver projects, we build trusted partnerships that empower our clients to lead with confidence in the digital age.
Position Overview
The Python Developer will own and build end-to-end product features across both frontend and backend systems. You will work closely with technical leadership to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver AI-powered applications that help users interact intuitively with complex data. This role requires strong full stack engineering skills, experience integrating large language models (LLMs), and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where speed, ownership, and impact matter.
Key Responsibilities
Own full-stack development across frontend (Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS) and backend (Python, FastAPI) services.
Design and implement core user experiences, including chat interfaces, contextual document viewers, and interactive workflows driven by model reasoning.
Develop backend services supporting agentic orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, caching layers, and telemetry for user interactions.
Integrate and operationalize LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, or open-source models) within production applications.
Work with search and indexing technologies such as OpenSearch to enable fast, relevant data retrieval.
Collaborate closely with technical leadership to iterate rapidly based on real user feedback.
Establish technical foundations for analytics, logging, monitoring, and future model fine-tuning workflows.
Balance speed and code quality, delivering pragmatic, maintainable solutions without unnecessary over-engineering.
Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape long-term product and platform direction.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in full stack software development, operating at a senior engineer skill level or equivalent.
Strong proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, including Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS.
Strong backend development experience using Python and FastAPI.
Experience working with search infrastructure, such as OpenSearch or similar technologies.
Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, including OpenAI, Claude, or open-source language models.
Experience building or consuming RAG pipelines, vector search, and embedding-based retrieval systems.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and take ownership of projects from concept to production.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building financial tools, such as dashboards, screeners, analytics platforms, or investment research applications.
Familiarity with financial data, earnings calls, SEC filings, or investment research workflows.
Strong understanding of analytics, logging, and observability in modern distributed systems.
Experience designing user-centric tools that help users reason about data, not just visualize it.
Interest in or ability to learn the language and mindset of investment analysts.
