Job Details

Genesis 10 seeks an AI Project Manager for our client in the healthcare industry. This is a 9-month contract-to-hire position that is fully remote.

Compensation: $72.00 - 77.00 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.

We are seeking a highly execution-focused Project Manager specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead the delivery of new AI initiatives across the organization. This consultant will take high-level ideas, concepts, and enhancement requests and turn them into actionable, delivered solutions.
The role acts as the face of AI to the business, partnering with stakeholders to understand needs, clarify requirements, and ensure that AI work moves smoothly from concept through development, testing, and implementation. The intake team owns prioritization; this PM simply uses the intake tool (Optura) to track, update, and communicate status.
Healthcare experience is required due to the clinical, regulatory, and operational nature of the work.

AI Execution & Delivery Leadership
  • Take business ideas and enhancement requests and drive them end-to-end through execution.
  • Translate high-level concepts into clear scope, requirements, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, Architecture, Product, and Analytics teams to coordinate delivery.
  • Ensure all work meets healthcare data, risk, and responsible AI standards.
Stakeholder Engagement (Primary Face of AI)
  • Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders for AI project execution and status.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering, refinement, and alignment to ensure solutions meet business goals.
  • Communicate AI capabilities, risks, constraints, timelines, and impacts in clear, non-technical language.
  • Provide regular updates, roadmaps, and presentations to leaders and business partners.
Intake Tool Usage (Optura)
  • Use the intake tool (Optura) to view requests, update statuses, track progress, and report delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the intake/prioritization team to confirm readiness and ensure smooth handoffs into execution.
  • Maintain accurate project data, documentation, and dashboards as required.
Execution, Planning & Coordination
  • Create and maintain project schedules, RAID logs, meeting cadences, and communication plans.
  • Drive issue resolution, escalate risks, and remove blockers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate testing, training, change management, and deployment with appropriate partner teams.
  • Ensure solutions are fully documented, compliant, and ready for operational handoff.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all AI initiatives adhere to healthcare, privacy, security, and responsible AI guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early; manage dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Track KPIs, value realization, and adoption post-deployment.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Healthcare industry experience is required (payer, provider, PBM, clinical operations, or healthcare technology).
  • 5-10+ years of Project or Program Management experience in enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated success delivering AI, ML, data analytics, or technical product initiatives.
  • Strong ability to take ambiguous ideas and turn them into structured, executable projects.
  • Familiarity with AI fundamentals (LLMs, model lifecycle, supervised/unsupervised learning).
  • Experience using intake or request-management tools (Optura preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Strong documentation, planning, meeting facilitation, and risk management experience.
  • Proficiency in Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery methods.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Data Science, MLOps, and Engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, healthcare data governance, and responsible AI standards.
  • Background supporting digital transformation or automation programs.
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar certifications.

What Success Looks Like
  • Business brings an AI idea ? you turn it into a delivered solution.
  • Stakeholders view you as the trusted partner and communicator for all AI initiatives.
  • Projects launch on time, meet business needs, and deliver measurable value.
  • All work meets healthcare, privacy, and ethical AI standards.
  • A predictable, reliable delivery rhythm is established across AI initiatives
