Senior Angular Front-End Developer | 10+ Month Contract | Austin, TX (Hybrid - 20% Remote)

iSphere is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer with deep Angular expertise to join a major initiative modernizing key public service platforms in Austin, TX. This isn t your average UI role this is a hands-on opportunity to help build and maintain scalable, responsive, and accessible enterprise applications that serve critical programs across the state.

Project Overview:

You ll support the development and enhancement of web-based applications within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), including portals and services for eligibility, family violence programs, document services, and call center tools. You ll collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies, ensuring the software is reliable, accessible, and high-performing.

What You ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain UI components for enterprise-grade SPAs using Angular, TypeScript, and related libraries/frameworks

• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and ADA/Accessibility compliance

• Own the front-end stack and participate in all phases of the SDLC, from design to deployment

• Implement authentication, authorization, caching, and reusable components

• Use test-driven development practices with Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium

• Collaborate closely with backend and DevOps teams; participate in design, code reviews, and walk-throughs

• Provide production support, resolve UI defects, and improve application scalability and maintainability

• Support documentation, configuration, testing, and performance tuning efforts

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related technologies

• Strong understanding of ES5/ES6, Bootstrap, SASS, AJAX, JSON, JQuery, XML, and NPM/Maven

• Proven experience building SPAs and responsive client-facing applications

• Experience developing reusable modules/components, implementing ADA accessibility, and optimizing front-end performance

• Expertise in modern UI design patterns, data structures, and scalability strategies

• Test automation experience using Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Spring Boot and backend integration

• Familiarity with IBM WebSphere, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum environments

• Exposure to cloud-based applications and mobile/tablet front-end development
