Who we are looking for
State Street Global Markets IT is looking for a hands on leader to be part of a Front Office Risk and Trading System for Foreign exchange trading. Ideal candidate would be an expert in Java, Kafka and distributed in-memory grids and has prior experience in building low latency real time business applications. Ability to work with a globally distributed team is a must.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for
As Tech. Lead you will
  • Influence the architecture and technical design of the cross asset Front Office Position and Risk platform
  • Design and develop the core common framework and associated foundational components as well as real time position and pnl functionality.
  • Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, front office risk and analytics teams to craft elegant solutions to front office trading requirements
  • Participate in regular code reviews with a focus on functional integrity, as well as extensibility and scalability

  • Expert level knowledge in Java 11+
  • Expertise with Spring Boot framework and hands on knowledge in building microservices based architectures.
  • Expert level knowledge of Kafka: programming as well as design of topics , partitions etc.
  • Expert at developing Unix scripts.
  • Prior experience in building low latency realtime applications with high volume of data.
  • Ability to build user interfaces using React and HTML5.
  • Distributed transactional in memory grids such as Apache Ignite or similar.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • 10 years of relevant experience.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
