Team (Project) Introduction

9th Way Insignia is seeking a Senior Developer to support the Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) 2.0 contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Senior Developer will lead technical implementation efforts across a suite of enterprise applications that support VA financial and administrative systems. Operating within Section 5.2 of the PWS, this role provides leadership and hands-on expertise in delivering scalable, secure, and modernized software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and modules.
• Lead technical design discussions and review software architecture with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Contribute to DevSecOps implementation and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Develop RESTful APIs and support integration with external systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to ensure requirement alignment.
• Ensure solutions meet VA cybersecurity and accessibility (Section 508) requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and performance issues.
• Document system design, development processes, and technical specifications.

Requirements

• BD degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
• 8 years of related professional experience.
• 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

Preferred/Desired

• Extensive experience in Java, .NET, or other enterprise-level development stacks.
• Expertise in Agile development frameworks and tools such as JIRA and GitLab.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams.

Salary Range

$78,522 - $111,842 USD
