Being a part of Lenovo IDG AI Ecosystem, as a Staff Software Development Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in leveraging cutting-edge technologies and AI to craft unique innovations across a range of Lenovo devices, including s martphones, w earables and innovative form factors. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and create innovations that push the boundaries of what's possible in the AI space.

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate release management activities for Android, cross-platform mobile, tablet, and PC applications.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage software releases across multiple teams and environments, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Define and enforce release management processes, including version control, branching strategy, and artifact lifecycle management.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Fastlane) to automate build, integration, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to align release content, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Maintain release documentation, configuration records, and change logs to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Continuously improve release processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose automation and tooling enhancements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Release Management, or Configuration Management.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, pipelines, and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with artifact management and version control systems.
  • Good understanding of software build systems and dependency management for Android and cross-platform applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate studies in Software Engineering, DevOps, or related areas.
  • Hands-on experience with release management of Android applications and app store deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with multi-platform development environments
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional coordination in complex release cycles.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $ 110-135k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission . This is a hybrid position 3 days per week at our Chicago location.
