Job Title: Electrical Engineer III
Location: Connellsville, PA (Onsite; may work remotely within client service territory — Akron, OH; Greensburg, PA; or Fairlawn, OH)
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Special Requirement: Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Responsibilities

Perform onsite field research to ascertain necessary information for single lines and floor plans of electrical devices and building electrical infrastructure, including:
-
Switchgears, switchboards, panels, disconnects, transformers, and electrical equipment
-

Take pictures of electrical devices and building electrical infrastructure
-
Assist with scheduling off-hour and weekend shutdowns to perform work
-
Perform work during some off-hours and weekends as needed
-
Develop single lines and floor plans of electrical infrastructure and electrical devices in buildings
-
Perform electrical assessment of buildings
-
Develop electrical assessment reports, including: All necessary pictures, linking assessments to pictures and floor plans, life safety, code compliance, and deficiency assessment, and populating life safety, code compliance, and deficiencies tracking files

Label equipment with incoming volts/amp labels, fed from labels, etc.

Trace wiring
-
Determine overloaded circuits and conduits

Identify grounding issues
-
Develop panel schedules
-
Perform minor electrical upgrades such as:
-
Adding wire nuts to exposed electrical
-
Installing outlet covers, junction box covers, panel hole covers, breaker covers, etc.

Input projects into the client’s facility database for future project planning (training will be provided)
-
Ensure database remains accurate and clean
-
Attend meetings as necessary
-
Provide single lines in PDF and AutoCAD format
-
Work with engineers to perform arc flash assessments
-
Apply arc flash assessment labels
-
Take responsibility for quality assurance and control of assigned work, including:
-
Identification of quality requirements
-
Responsibility for quality assurance program
-
Oversight of contractor review and approval processes as required
-

Prepare and present status reports for management, including recurring standard reports and ad hoc updates covering:
-
Scope, budget, and schedule
-
Risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
-
-
Communicate goals, priorities, and decisions to the leadership team
-
Partner with operating companies and other business units from conception and planning through construction and turnover, ensuring concurrence and approvals are secured

Ensure project close-out and lessons-learned reviews are completed; participate in audits of completed work to verify objectives and benefits were realized
Qualifications
-
10+ years of relevant experience required
-
Must be local to Connellsville, PA worksite or located within the service territory (Akron, OH; Greensburg, PA; or Fairlawn, OH)
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
-
Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure and devices, building assessments, and AutoCAD
-
Ability to perform fieldwork, assessments, reporting, and minor electrical upgrades
-
Strong communication and reporting skills
