Job Position: CAD Engineer

Job Location: Newark, CA

Job Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

• We are currently seeking to add a design engineer to our staff.
• Candidates are expected to be knowledgeable in the area structural design and basic 3D modeling using CAD software such as CATIA, NX or SolidWorks.
• They are also expected to be strong self-starters, team collaborators, excellent problem solvers, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Work with members of NVH team to design and integrate NVH specific parts such as BIW sealing lines, BIW Plugs, BIW Baffles, BIW Foam, BIW CLD Patches as well as design basic structures for test fixtures, on a car as well as in a test environment.
• Work with other engineering teams (e.g., Chassis, Body, Exteriors, Interiors) to review design solutions and guide design changes to benefit NVH performance.
• Must have ability to influence design based on engineering principles.
• Develop audit plans to ensure designs are executed correctly by prototype and manufacturing teams.
• Perform testing on the BIWs as part of prototype as well as assembly line audits.
• Work closely with members of the team understanding that operates on tighter timelines and less resources than found at traditional OEMs.
• Deliver world-class NVH performance while balancing aggressive cost and mass targets.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience.
• Excellent communicator, collaborator, team player, and problem solver.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, thrive, and chart your own path in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent knowledge structural design.

Xoriant reasonably expects the pay rate for this position to be within the following range: $50.00/hour-$60.00/hour.
