Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security team. In this key role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents. This role involves working closely with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the security of our systems, network, and data.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor networks and systems for security-related incidents, using tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection platforms
  • Work closely with the Cybersecurity Manager to conduct regular security assessments including vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing
  • Analyze security alerts and determine their impact and urgency, escalating incidents as needed
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions
  • Maintain and enhance incident response plans, playbooks, and documentation
  • Assist in the configuration and tuning of security tools such as firewalls, IDS\IPS, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), patch management, and data loss prevention (DLP) systems
  • Stay updated on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and provide timely reports to stakeholders
  • Work with compliance teams to support audits and ensure adherence to frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA
  • Assist in the education and training of staff on cybersecurity best practices and awareness programs
  • Support secure software development and\or Dev(Sec)Ops initiatives, where applicable


Education and Work Experience:

  • Two-Year undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • At least one Industry Standard Network Certifications such as:
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA CySA+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • 1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security operations role
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Arctic Wolf, Sentinel), firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and network security monitoring
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPNs, and common attack vectors (e.g., email phishing, malware, & ransomware)
  • Understanding of cloud security (Preferably Microsoft Azure) best practices
  • Understanding of Zero-Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA)
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation languages, such as Python and PowerShell
  • Common knowledge\understanding of regulatory compliance and data protection laws (e.g., SOC2, PCI, & ISO)
