Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced Informatica Engineer with strong SQL skills to design, develop, and maintain robust ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and loading processes that support analytics and decision-making.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ. is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize ETL Informatica workflows to extract data from various source systems.
Create and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions for data transformation and loading.
Collaborate with data stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable ETL solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure data quality and timely delivery.
Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation techniques.
Maintain ETL documentation, data lineage, and metadata.
Ensure adherence to best practices for data security, privacy, and governance.
Optimize and tune SQL queries and ETL processes for performance.
Support migration and integration projects as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an ETL Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, Apache Nifi, etc. (preferred).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Shell scripting (preferred).
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (optional but a plus).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
