About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Information Security Operations Specialist to support day-to-day data security operations in a fully remote capacity. This short-term contract role is ideal for a security professional with hands-on experience in infrastructure security, compliance monitoring, and incident response. You'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity and availability of our security and networking infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of security systems aligned with organizational policies.
  • Manage and monitor security infrastructure including firewalls, proxies, logging systems, and other security tools.
  • Analyze and report on security event anomalies and trends.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Promote security awareness and ensure adherence to security protocols.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and violations.
  • Define security requirements and assess systems for compliance with standards.
  • Research and recommend security solutions based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in information security infrastructure support and operations.
  • Strong understanding of computer security, risk analysis, audit, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with security practices, network protocols, software, and hardware.
  • Familiarity with web vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CISSP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, contract-based environments.
