Job Description
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions to enable customers with efficient cash management within Payments space. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, I.T. Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Participating in architectural forums and preparing and presenting architectural diagrams including Application Architecture, Data Architecture, and Infrastructure Architecture; Developing robust backend applications using Java technologies with Spring framework; Developing REST and SOAP API based applications in microservices environment; TDD based application development using testing tools including Junit, and Selenium; Deploying applications to cloud environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud environment; Working in servlet containers including Apache Tomcat and code management tools including GIT; Working in Linux and Unix based environments with Shell Scripting; Building rich front-end applications using web technologies including HTML, CSS, NodeJS, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, XML and JSON; Building application artifacts using build tools including Apache Maven, ANT and Jenkins; Designing Data-Access layer with technologies including Cassandra and Oracle; Working with software development approaches including Agile; Troubleshooting applications using Splunk and Dynatrace.
Job Location: 405 Colorado St., Austin, TX 78701. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
