Summary

Primary Responsibilities

Provide full-lifecycle database support, development, and maintenance for enterprise SQL environments.
Manage and troubleshoot SQL Server, SQL Cluster, MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access systems.
Perform performance tuning, replication, backup and recovery, and issue resolution.
Support applications relying on SQL back-end systems (e.g., SharePoint).
Handle server maintenance, patching, and upgrades, including after-hours maintenance when scheduled.
Create and configure databases per user and project requirements.
Prepare and submit weekly activity and status reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams via Microsoft Teams or similar communication tools.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of professional experience managing enterprise-level SQL environments.
Strong expertise in:
SQL Server administration and clustering
MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access
Performance tuning, replication, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting
Proven experience with server maintenance, security compliance, and database optimization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Must pass a basic background/suitability check for system access.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing or leading SQL/Oracle DBA teams for at least 5 years in a corporate environment.
Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
Experience supporting SharePoint or other enterprise applications with SQL back ends.
Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting or automation tools for database administration.

Certifications such as:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
MySQL Database Administrator Certification
PostgreSQL DBA Certification
