Senior Network Engineer (Evening Shift, Hybrid Onsite)
Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite weekly - 2 days remote (Columbia, SC OR Charlotte, NC)
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (subject to change)
An established enterprise is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance its mission-critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies and a strong command of core routing, switching, and network troubleshooting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network solutions using multi-vendor platforms
- Manage and troubleshoot complex environments leveraging Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, and Ciena gear
- Support Layer 2/3 protocols including BGP and OSPF
- Configure and maintain Nexus, Arista, or Palo Alto solutions
- Administer and optimize load balancing solutions, particularly using F5 technologies
- Perform packet analysis and network diagnostics using Wireshark or SolarWinds
- Ensure performance, availability, and security across enterprise-level networks
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant networking experience (strong candidates with 8+ years will be considered)
- Completed CCNA and CCNP certifications (must be current; in-progress credentials will not qualify)
- Experience with enterprise-grade routing, switching, and load balancing
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Comfortable working an evening shift (3pm 11pm) Sunday through Thursday
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of legacy transport systems, including TDM and DWDM
- Exposure to high-availability environments and network resiliency strategies
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite. Candidates should be comfortable working in a structured, team-oriented environment with a consistent evening schedule.
