Description

SAIC is seeking an Administrative Assistant in North Charleston, SC to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC).

Job Description:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with expert-level abilities.
  • Executes routine administrative and clerical tasks, handling both routine and non-routine assignments, including special projects.
  • Responsibilities encompass diverse activities such as writing, typing, meeting minutes, data entry, badging, and document preparation.
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, strong time management abilities, and adaptability under pressure to meet frequent deadlines.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate well both orally and written.
  • Provides backup support.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Business or Computer Science and four (4) years of experience or High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of experience with word processing, spreadsheet development, documenting management issues, financial analysis, data collection, report processing, brief preparation, reading milestone schedules, and send and receive emails.

Required Experience:
  • Two (2) years of work experience shall be within DoD. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:
  • One (1) year of practical experience in data entry and formatting via common productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • One (1) year of practical experience managing and coordinating travel requirements to include local, CONUS and OCONUS destinations, passports, APACS, foreign clearance processing.
  • Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

Required Clearance:
  • Must possess Public Trust clearance.
