Job Details

Blu Omega is seeking a Drupal Lead to oversee the operations and modernization of multiple client-managed websites on a remote basis. This role is heavily focused on infrastructure management rather than content, and includes oversight of technical operations, platform upgrades, and strategic planning.

You will lead a small, agile team consisting of Business Analysts and Developers, while serving as the main point of contact for the client. This role is a blend of management and technical work, ideal for someone who can think strategically, manage technical resources, and ensure high availability and security of web platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of managed externally facing websites.
  • Manage the web infrastructure, focusing on platform structure, operations & maintenance (O&M), and security posture.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Business Analysts and Developers, ensuring tasks are well defined, scoped, and completed on time.
  • Drive demand planning and execution gather requirements, develop get well plans for platform upgrades, and oversee modernization initiatives.
  • Operate in an Agile environment with 2-week sprints, handling incident tickets and incoming development requests.
  • Collaborate with the client and internal team to prioritize work, plan upgrades, and enhance the existing platforms on an on-prem infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in web infrastructure or operations management
  • Proven experience managing small technical teams and interfacing directly with clients
  • Solid understanding of web infrastructure, security principles, and platform lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint planning
  • Comfortable working in an O&M-focused environment (no major build-outs or greenfield projects)

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with on-premises hosting environments
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management
  • Strong communication and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to create and execute modernization roadmaps and platform upgrade plans
