Job Description
What We Need From You
Required Industry Knowledge:
* Understanding of all major global futures exchanges
* Knowledge of full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle
* Minimum of 8 years' experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets / Investment Banks to bring credible externalization of mindset and approach and ensure we are cost: value competitive
* Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms.
* Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines.
Role Overview
* Use technical skills to ensure business requirements are understood at all levels of delivery.
* Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users.
* Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives.
* Communicate effectively with business, development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams.
* Analyse and map RFQ, order and trade lifecycles to help formulate solutions that will improve quality & efficiency across our trading systems.
* Hands-on experience in delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible way. Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance (e.g. MIFID2 & RTS6) is highly desirable
Key Skills and Experience required
* Knowledge of Third-Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, Trading Screen)
* Experience working with instrument static data and/or other Market Data systems & protocols experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems
* Experience in analyzing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g. MIFID II, MAD/MAR)
* Solid relevant experience in FIX Engineering
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions.
* Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements
* Experience with application support and vendor management
* Strong experience in exchange certification, application Deployment and support
* Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL or other programming languages
* Experience in messaging systems, and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP, multicast, would be highly regarded.
